School Run

So, it's back to school and the day after labor day was the first day of school for my kids. I had taken a mini vacation from work to give me all the time I needed for all the shopping and hustle of getting the kids ready for school. Hubby and I put in hours of shopping and organizing in order to make sure the  kids got all the clothes, toys and school supplies they needed for the school year and I'm almost exhausted right now from all the work...:) The most important preparation given to the kids was when my hubby laid hands on them and prayed for God's grace and favor to abound. I seriously recommend all parents to do this; do not just send your kids out like that to face new situation without giving them God's blessings.

In order not to outdo the kids on their first day, I put on something very simple for the first official school-run day of the school year; a simple lime colored eyelet jacket over a white tee and black shorts. The outfit was understated so I decided to kick it up a notch by wearing my favorite Gingham sling-back sandals. Thanks so much for reading and have a wonderful weekend.

Jacket: Loft (old)
Shorts: H&M
Clutch and shoes: Colin Stuart via Victoria's secret.
