Layered in Prints

So, the weekend finally ended with all the excitement and hype of the Super bowl. I'm not much of a football fan or not into sports in general; my lazy self speaking..:) but I found it really interesting that two brothers faced each as coaches and the turn over in the game after the power surge was quite surprising. Well, I'm glad it's all over and the winners can keep glowing while the losers work on getting over the loss and brothers can go back to being brothers...:)

I picked up a copy of this week's issue of the  Sports illustrated Magazine at work today and was captivated at the article that read; "Does God care who wins the Superbowl?" I did not have time to read through the whole article but I was quite excited about it. I'm glad the writer elaborated on the idea that God does not take sides but would protect the "praying team" against all injuries and mishaps. Sometimes sports is not all about winning; the fitness or physical activity associated with the sports and it's entertainment value is what is important most times. "Sports-Fanatics" please forgive me... We all know that a lot of athletes have lost their whole career or become disabled for life due to injuries so let the prayers on the field continue. God is ever faithful to listen and answer the prayers of anyone who calls.

Back to the outfit of the day; I am wearing my most beloved print top that I talked about the first time in this post here and the comfy Victorias Secret long knit skirt that I just can't get enough of. If I had known it was going to be this warm and comfy, I would have ordered it in different colors; now it is all sold out...:((( **sniff **sniff**

This print top which is actually a dress is very versatile and I love the way it has transited beautifully from my summer wardrobe to the winter. To make it work  for the winter, I just layered it over this white tee I purchased from J. Crew a while back. I cinched a belt over my waist, threw a scarf around my neck and was good to go. You can check out the Summer look in this post here. I love it when I am able to create different looks with one clothing item in my closet. **thrifty me..Yay!!**

I apologize for the blurry pictures. I did not realize that I was running my washer and dryer until the steam blowing through the vents in the wall ruined my precious pics!

Thanks so much for reading and sharing your thoughts and comments and do enjoy the rest of the week. **Kisses**

  4. This look is fabulous. The steam from the vent is killing me! LOL, this is why I find it so difficult to take OOTD pics, you have to take so many of shots and little things like this always happen. LOL. I put the GFC button up. And I'm following you BTW.
