Lace on Lace

Happy Monday; this is just a quick post here to showcase the outfit I wore to church yesterday; it was a lace on lace affair. The weather is still quite warm though fall is around the corner so this outfit was right up my alley for a warm summer day. This lace skirt is another Chicwish addition to my closet and I certainly do love Chicwish; they offer very beautiful, trendy and quality clothes for ladies at very affordable prices. This skirt was on my fall wish list that I blogged about here and it was quite exciting to finally purchase it.

Chambray Jumpsuit

We have been having a lot of rain in the twin cities and with fall starting off officially next week; it's time to bring out the sweaters and light jackets and booties. This chambray jumpsuit from Eshakti has been in heavy rotation this summer and is a recent addition to my jumpsuit collection. I wore it to a kiddos birthday party last weekend with my kids and I had fun dancing and socializing at the party. The jumpsuit came with a sash but I ditched it as soon as I opened the package; I prefer the jumpsuit like this; free and fun and it has pockets too. I also decided to make the sleeves longer when I placed the order; as you know, Eshakti pieces can be customized to suit your style.

I have been doing a lot of closet organization in my home lately; from my closet to the kids' closet. My two daughters are growing into lovely fashionistas and their wardrobe is gradually expanding too. Now, they have asked me to buy them jumpsuits and they specifically asked for the chambray jumpsuit so I'll be surfing net looking for little girl's chambray jumpsuit. I just took a look at Jcrew and Zulily's website yesterday. If you have an idea of a trusted site that sells one, let me know in the comment section below please.

I hope you are having a great week so far and have great plans for spending time with God and family this weekend. I am going to leave you with one of my favorite Bible verses at the end of this post. It does not matter whether you have kids right now or not; you have nephews, nieces, cousins or young kiddos around you; let's do all we can to give the kiddos and younger generation the love of God and the wisdom to learn and apply valuable principles to their lives in order to make the world a happier place for everyone.

Fall Fashion Preview- Work Wear

Fall is just around the corner and some of the trends  for work (office) wear include; stripes, polka dots and Florals; these trends however have always been there but they'll be more noticeable this season than ever before. I am loving these combinations here that I put together on Polyvore and I have also planned to post more work attire or office looks here on the blog. Let's make fashion fun this fall and thanks a lot for stopping by here.

What's New at Eshakti

Hi friends, I am excited to tell you about the new changes over at Eshakti. I have done a couple of collaborations with this company in the past and each time they launch new designs or features on their site, I always like to blog about it. Fall is around the corner and if you are looking to build a fall wardrobe or add some key pieces to it, just head over to their site. The selections here are some of my favorites for summer (what is left of the summer) and fall and this sleeves wool coatdress below is my absolute favorite. Let's not forget too that Eshakti allows you to customize your clothes by making changes to the length, alteration of the sleeves and addition or removal of side pockets.

Shoes Gist....Animalistic Instinct.

Hi Friends, it's time again for some shoe gist in this corner. This time, it is all about fur **Grrrrr** (growling...:-)). I hope there are no anti-fur movement members reading this blog post right now and if you are one, I apologize upfront. You see, I love animals too but I do eat them and would wear a real fur coat if gifted with one because I cannot afford to make a splurge on one right now; with that being said; **clears throat...** I beg to continue..

These animal print pumps Dee Keller pumps are recent additions to my shoe closet. I got to know of this shoe designer when I first set my eyes on this black and white print pumps; but they were out of my size and I kept stalking the site for months. When I realized my size was never going to be restocked, I decided to get the brown color instead and later added the zebra prints when they had their summer sale. Now, I just have to figure out how to style these beauties or figure out what outfits would work with them because as you can see, these prints are different from the usual leopard prints.

                                                                       Here

Do you have styling ideas for these kind of prints? I know they'll look good against solid colors or monochrome looks like cream on cream or white on white. If you have any ideas, please share; and thanks a lot for stopping by here. There is so much sadness and bad news in almost every news media these days and all around the world and this is my own little space for creating my escape by talking about things that put a smile on my face. I love you for stopping by here.

Summer Date Outfit

I wore this outfit here sometime in the summer and it is as extreme as an outfit can be even for summer. So, I ordered a bunch of shorts from Loft during their summer sale a couple of months ago and this particular one captivated my attention because of the prints and I read the description of the shorts like I always do but somehow skipped the reviews. I am very sure that if I had been patient enough to read the reviews, I would have found out that the shorts are shorter than was advertised on the site. I was shocked when I opened the package and realized that the shorts are indeed super short. No wonder some people hate online shopping so much. I have always had good experience shopping online though because I always shop from stores that I am familiar with in regards to the sizing and quality of their products. As for this shorts, I  contemplated whether to return them or not then found out that it was a final clearance sale and returns were not allowed so I decided to keep them for date night with the hubs. Also I can use them as beach shorts with a wrap around my waist and can also strut around my house in them; so, it is a keeper after all.

Shorts: Loft
Blazer: Ann Taylor
tee: H&M (old)
Necklace: JCrew Factory
Sandals: Heels.com

Have you ever had a bad experience shopping online? I am an avid online shopper because I usually do not have much time to spend in stores; as a mother of four, I usually have to use my time wisely although I do have some "me" time at the mall sometimes where I just walk and do window shopping mostly. It can be relaxing to spend time at the mall especially when you love shopping and people watching but it's also advisable to leave the wallets at home when you want to go window shopping. Have you had any ugly experience shopping online? Do share...
