Style-New: Unfinished business

Hi beautiful people of blogs ville, once again, "Happy new year to everyone of you." I trust you all had a safe and fulfilling holiday. I spent some time during my mini vacation doing some tidying up and discovered some old pictures in my computer folder which I'm going to post here hence the title "Unfinished business." They are pictures of outfit collages I made last spring. If you have read some of my old blog posts, you will know by now that I love to do outfit ensemble on my deck just like some fashion bloggers do "Fashion boards" for fashion inspiration. The main difference is that fashion boards usually involve outfits that are on the bloggers wish list while my deck outfit collages involve items that have already arrived in the mail...:) Check out the one I did on the neon trend here.


The skinny color jeans was a hot trend last summer and though I do not follow trends that much but I kind of liked the color blocking that was associated with it and I was tempted to grab a pair when I found some on sale at a local fashion boutique. I got a pair in a saturated hue of turquoise along with a leopard print blouse and I thought the combination was super cute!...:) So I decided to do outfit collages on the various ways I would like to wear this colored skinny pants and I added leopard prints to all of them. Each of the outfit collages can be worn just about anywhere with a little "accessory editing" here and there.

So, I had a baby shower to attend last summer and I decided to wear the colored pants with the black ruffled blouse but I ditched the print sling back for another leopard pump because I badly needed a pedicure and felt the slingbacks was not the best choice for the evening. Here are the pictures below; And yeah, I switched out the clutch too but I don't think that was the best choice. I probably was thinking of "prints on prints" when I did that..:)

Also, I had my comb twists in my hair last summer too and right now, I am trying to prep my hair for this upcoming summer. I am looking forward to the reveal.

I wore this turquoise necklace as a statement piece and I know the look looks a little bit matchy-matchy.. Maybe that was why I forgot about the pictures in my folder

Well, I'm glad I completed the unfinished business...:) And that is my new-year resolution. I'm going to complete every great task I embark on this year and I know I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

Happy New Year!!..:)

Happy new year everyone...yeah, everyone in blogs ville..:) 2012 was an amazing year and I know 2013 would even be greater. I had a wonderful holiday celebration with my family and friends and  New year eve was so much fun; we started the evening by watching the movie "The passion of the Christ" all over again and then we had a big dinner and an hour into the new year we started to worship and pray and it was awesome entering the new year with such gratitude and praise to God for his grace and protection.

This maxi dress and a white jacket is what I wore to church yesterday and as you can see, I am still very much in love with my whites and my summer maxi dresses. This banana republic white jacket is surely undergoing some heavy rotation in my closet. This grey and black maxi dress was purchased from Metro style on line and I remember the first time I wore it about eight months ago; the weather was nice and beautiful; a cool spring day. Now the weather is all cold and gloomy and I am really starting to look forward to Spring. It's not easy taking pictures out doors these days because of the cloudy weather and I'm thinking I might just retire from blogging temporarily and do some other things...:) Easier said than done **hehehe**...:)

I am loving my Quipid heels for this weather. They are very durable and easy to maintain. I just wipe of any slushy snow with a damp cloth and store it till the next use. Along with my white jacket, they are my must-haves for this winter. I am very careful when I walk with them though. Six-inch heels are not recommended for walking in the snow.

Blogging 101..

Yeah, so glad that 2012 is finally over and looking forward to 2013 with joy and faith that all things would work for my good. I started blogging in March and it has been a very unique and exciting experience. Almost all the pictures here were taken by me by an old camera on a tripod stand and I tell you that I am the least technical person with not much knowledge on how to use an advanced camera or on how to edit pictures plus I am a busy mom but the entire experience of writing and editing blog posts has been very fun and therapeutic for me.

Indeed this has been a learning year for me and I really learnt a lot in every aspect of my life; spiritually, physically, academically, emotionally..just name it! I grew all rounded. I decided to pick three out of each months post in random order and I am particularly glad that the aim for which this blog was set up was met in the long run; now I have a very colorful closet and I'm glad to say that I'm happier too with my closet.

I'm using this opportunity to say thanks to all who stopped by my blog and left comments to let me know they stopped by. I wish you all the best in the new year and always. **Kisses**

Merry Christmas

Hi All, I am just signing in to wish you a merry Christmas. I pray you have a wonderful time with your family and close friends. Here, I am wearing a green color chiffon dress in line with the Christmas spirit and some neutral heels. I thought of wearing some red color shoes initially then decided to go with these nude heels. I was busy making sure everything looks nice on my Christmas tree when these pics were being taken.

The kids have been longing to know what kind of presents they got and they just keep asking questions on and on...hubby and I always tell our kids that Christmas gifts are from Dad and Mom because God provided for them. We do not believe in deceiving kids with all that Santa lie!

One of my friends dropped by last night with all these amazing balloon creation for the kids and these little penguins are my favorites. Some people are so creative! The kids were very very excited to get them and they popped a few of them already.
