To the Graceful Grad..

It is that time of the year again when parents and friends get together to celebrate academic achievements of loved ones. You the grad, are the center of attention at this time and it is essential that you take a minute to "pause" and reflect on the whole journey while giving God thanks for his grace and strength.

Since Graduation ceremonies are usually done a few days after finals, when all the sleepless nights of study is still visible under the eyes, the graceful grad would put in an extra effort to look her best on the graduation day. There are going to be lots of pictures taken so, it is important that you look your best. Below are two outfit choices I created for the event as an inspiration for dressing up on that big day. The first outfit is for the ceremony and the other outfit is for the after party.

Graduation Ceremony Outfit

I think it is always a great idea to wear bright color clothing for the graduation ceremony although your academic gown is going to conceal most part of the outfit; and a great pair of shoes too; that way you'll easily stand out in the crowd and your family and friends can recognize you right away when you are walking up the podium. Since white and yellow are big color trends for this spring and summer, they should be the first color of choice when picking out an outfit.

The Grad Party Gown

Jimmy Choo suede pumps

Red handbag
$2,325 - uk.louisvuitton.com

Michael kors jewelry
$355 - selfridges.com

Long earrings

Mac cosmetic

Caps Gowns

Consider wearing a different outfit if you are going to have an after party and since floral dresses are big this season, the Chicwish dress in the collage above is a very good choice. The flowers are bold and the red flowers against the cream color background, pops. It is also nice to wear very fun, vibrant and eye-catching accessories. It is your graduation party and a big celebration; have some fun but again, give all glory to God because he gave you the grace for success.

  11. Dear Beauty, you created perfect outfits for such events! Here in Bavaria it is often possible to wear Bavarian costumes which makes the dress code easier :) Hope you had a good week and you are looking forward to a pleasant weekend!
