Lime top

Hi beautiful people of Blogs Ville, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is ready for the new week...:) My weekend went by very fast and I didn't really do much besides the usual house chores and studying. As I got ready for church today, I was a little confused on what to wear. I had laid out two outfits the night before but did not really feel like putting any of them on. The weather was very beautiful and not cold or rainy so, it could not help me make up my mind...:) If you live any where around here you will agree that the weather can dictate how you dress sometimes.

Anyway, I ended up tossing these two outfits aside and picked out this outfit in the pics below. What helped to make up my mind was the fact that I had purchased this top a long time ago and had not worn it before now. You can check out the outfit collage I made of this top here

First of all, I apologise for the quality of the pictures...:) I take most of the pictures on my blog myself using the self timer on my camera and a tripod stand and I do not understand most of the settings on my canon camera yet...

Now, back to my outfit!..**Smiles** Like I said, I finally wore this outfit I laid out on my deck in a collage months ago; the lime top I purchased from Metrostyle and this A-line skirt I have had for a while now. I still got my new look and had to play it up with this bold hoop ear-rings and chunky necklace. When you have such low hair cut, it is always wise to use bold jewelry in the face area like the ears and neck.

If you notice, I changed the purse I laid out on the deck collage and used this Daniela Moda lime and black purse in my clutch collection..:)

The black satin pumps are Colin Stuart from Victoriassecret online

My jewelry is from Palmbeach

So, this is what I wore to church today! As usual, a simple and chic outfit; very much my style..**Smiles** I wish you all a wonderful week ahead. Have fun in whatever you do and do not forget to spend some time in communion with God during the week. Worship and prayers are not restricted to Sundays alone. **Kisses!!**

Graphic white and black + red

Hi Everyone, I hope you all having a nice weekend. It seems Fall has arrived in full force; starting to get cold in the early mornings and evenings. Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons of the year and I am so going to enjoy this fall..:) This black and white graphic blouse and red skirt is what I wore recently.

Also, I will like to thank Neilly of Aux Caprices de Flore for nominating me for the LIEBSTER AWARD. I have eleven set of questions to answer about myself which I am going to do soon in a future post. I am really looking forward to that. I have some of the answers typed and saved already in a word document and I am trying to decide if I should do an outfit post with it or not.

White and black graphic blouse and red skirt from Burlington Coat factory

Sunglasses and bracelet from Target stores

Black studded clutch from Tj Maxx and random jewelry

Red and white print shoes from Quipid...

I am wishing everyone a fabulous weekend. Your thoughts and comments are welcome and appreciated. I look forward to telling you more about myself and I'll like to know more about you too; my dear friends of Blogs Ville. **Kisses**

Teal it is!

Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. Mine has been very eventful with all the beautiful things that make my schedule hectic; family, work, school..and of course church!...:) This is what I wore to church last Sunday. A teal chiffon dress; just simple and me!!..:)

I was a little sceptical at first on how my new look was going to be perceived in a dress and had gone to the beauty shop a few days earlier to stock up on wigs. I did not want to shock anyone in church as I did my kids who just stared and stared at my head for hours on end the first day I got the new look. The shock quickly wore off though and they all commented that they loved my new look. I was glad that hubby loved it too although he had seen me with the look before. I had dreadlocks for close to four years and as you all know, comb twists is the initial stage of dreadlocks. However, I was much younger then and age can always affect the way any major makeover is perceived.

Anyway, I got dressed that morning without really planning my outfit ahead of time. I just threw whatever my hands could reach together but I think I was really led to the Chiffon dress because I was running late and really did not have time to iron any outfit..

I looked at myself in the mirror and decided that the look was not that bad. I did not need my wigs..I was just going to let everyone get used to the new hair-do...:)

Teal Dress: Tj Maxx
Bag: Franco Sartos
Shoes: Colin Stuart
Accessories: thrifted/burlington

Have a wonderful week everyone and thanks so much for stopping by my blog which is just my personal style diary..:) I am not trying to teach any one how to dress or do fashion but just expressing my self through my own style; Repetition...right?..**Smiling.**

Colorful...Part One!

Hi beautiful readers;"Happy Labor day." I hope you are enjoying yourself amidst busy schedules or relaxation. I plan to have some relaxation today with family and friends. It's gradually coming to the end of the year and the Summer is almost over..ohhhh!! **Sad**
The flowers in my yard were starting to react to the upcoming cold dreary weather and were starting to dry up even though I water them every day. I got tired of them looking like that and decided do a yard makeover; trying hard to enjoy my beautiful Summer and stretch it as far as I could...:)

I went to the flower shop and got new fresh flower pots and my porch was looking sweet and colorful again just like the beginning of Summer. My porch was looking so colorful that I got inspired to look the same. I rummaged in my closet and threw on as much color as I could and here is the colorful look...:)

I decided to title this post "Colorful ...Part One because I know I am going to be inspired again by my porch sometime soon..

This is an old orange blouse I have had for ages but rarely wear.

Every outfit I wore are "Oldies" including this brown DIY clutch which is now so old that it is crinkling. It used to have a strap which I took off and just converted into a clutch.

The brown cropped pants are also well worn and I remember I purchased it from TjMaxx. The shoes are Jessica Simpson and I really love the cobalt blue color

Sun glasses, ear-rings and wooden bangle are from Target

Orange color ring is from Burlington Coat factory

As you can see I have started to put on pants. I really do prefer my dresses and skirts though. They give me more confidence especially when they are A-lined or flared out. I am a very curvy lady and pants just bring out all the curves even when I am wearing shapers. However, I have more denim and dress pants in my closet because when you live in the state of Minnesota, with long winter months, you really do not have a choice about that.

See you again soon beautiful readers. How many of you watch the TV show "Married to Jonas" on E? It's so nice to have a christian reality show on TV. 'got tired of those silly reality shows where the ladies scream and curse each other out all day. If they don't have better things to do, let them come over to Blogs Ville where we have nothing but fun. **Bless you all!**

My new look

Hi beautiful people of Blogs ville! I have on a new look. "A major make-over" which I hope is not so drastic. I had been thinking of getting this new look for a while because I just got tired of all those hair extensions and wigs and I finally did it. I cut off my natural hair which was of modest length and got this short cut in comb twists. Hope you like it..:)

A lot of my friends say it makes me look younger which I think is true. Most of the time, women in their middle to late ages are known to go with short hair cuts to look look younger. I am in my mid-thirties though and was not too sure at first if this principle was going to apply to me..

Hmmm, what do you think? I do intend to change my look from time to time though by using wigs and extensions if need be. I am under grace and at liberty to do whatever I like and feel is best for my look so long as hubby loves it right? **Grinning**

Now let's talk about fashion...Yay!!! I am wearing this blouse from Next which is one of many I got as gifts from my Uncle who lives in Manchester in the UK. My younger brother who is as busy as I am with family and work took some time off to visit my Uncle last year and came back with lots of goodies for me, my hubby and kids. I'll love to go to the UK some time soon for my own vacation and some retail therapy. Aside from those transit stops at Amsterdam Airport en route to Africa, I have not visited the UK officially. I should get a vacation soon.

I paired the plaid shirt with this white stretch pants from Express and the bold red bag from Aldo.

A very simple look that can be worn to work on a "Casual Look Work-day," to visit friends or just to make an appearance at an outdoor event in which I'll switch the heels for flats..

Wearing Mr. KT Market shoes from Designer Shoe Warehouse in a nude color

Earings and necklace are thrifted and since they are so bold, I decided to wear a simple wooden bangle on my wrist and a red ring from Burlington.

Do you beautiful readers like this simple but clean look?

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving comments. Remember God loves you and me to pieces!! ** Kisses**

Double dose for September!!

Hi Everyone, it's September! Can you believe it? Oh my...well, it is okay. The year can run as fast as it can so long as we run with it. However, it looks like the race is $100 meters dash every hour; the likes that Husein Bolt does...:) As we run this race, we need to dominate and win. So, are you all achieving wonderful things as the year is running so quick into a new year?

Well, I have achieved quite a bit. One of which was undergoing a major transformation recently. I cut off my natural hair which I never really styled by itself anyway. Its been wigs after wigs after wigs. So cutting my hair was a great liberation.

The pictures in this post are pictures I took some weeks back and forgot about. I will share them with you before I post my new make-over pics.

Do you recognize this top from a previous post I did? One of my deck outfit collages? Check out the collage here.

Or do you recognize this pair of shoes from the same outfit collage? The Super Model leopard pumps from Victoriassecret...well, I finally decided to pair the top with the shoes to get an over dose of prints!!

Just a warning..this post is an overdose of prints and pictures so, beware!!!.**hehehe** You know Halloween is around the corner which is also my birthday (although I do not celebrate the holiday)

The top I am wearing here is actually a dress which I just tucked into this black skirt I have had for a while now. You might be tired of hearing me say this particular phrase by now and that is because most of my clothes are oldies. I have not bought any new clothes recently but have purchased some new shoes....hmmm

The bracelet and ring are from Burlington.

Purse is old too so, I do not remember what shop I got it from  but probably TjMaxx cos I shop there often.

So, that's the ensemble. Check out the outfit collage here again if you didn't already..:) I had so much fun the day I wore this outfit because hubby and I had a thousand places to go...:) We had not seen some friends for a while and had gone over to their place to say hi. Come along, let me show you some more pics I took that day; OVERDOSE! remember?

The pictures below are pictures I took at a friend's place. I had not seen her for a long time prior and we had so much fun because we caught up on gists and gossips...:) My friend loves to read a lot and she always has all these new collection of books in her book case.

Can you guess what was happening in the pic below? Hubby wanted to take some pictures of me and I told him I wanted to strike a "Super-Model" pose. I am putting on Super Model Pumps, remember? I flung my extensions in the air which got everyone laughing...

I was laughing so hard at all the efforts I was making to strike a perfect pose that I could not keep up with the pose or maintain a straight face and hubby just kept on clicking the camera away while everyone was cheering me on...it was so funny!

And then, I finally got the pose I wanted. The perfect pose worthy of a lady wearing the "Super Model" pumps...hehehehe..:)

Have a nice day everyone and proceed to the next post to see my new make-over pics.
