Chocolate floral + Cherry

Today was an eventful day for me. I was busy every minute and second of the day and the only time I got a break was when I took my blog pictures and right now as I am doing the posting. I was off work today but woke up with work on my mind; house chores that is...:) Cooked, cleaned, returned some important international calls, fixed my daughters hair (They always have to look nice too..lol)

   I titled this post Chocolate floral plus cherry because of the colors in the outfit.

 I am wearing a chocolate eyelet jacket which is a tad too small but I love it because of its color. Jacket is apt. 9 from TJ Maxx. Red camisole is random purchase.

I later took my fifteen months old baby for her check-up and had to take all three kids (hubby was at work) and they all can be a handful..:). I'm only going to sleep for less than five hours and will be off again tomorrow. I have school in the morning, (summer weekend school) then I have to take the kids to a friend's daughter's birthday party. Some of my friends who are still single wonder how I am able to keep things together and I just smile and tell them it is God. "I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Supermoms are able to do what they do only by his grace.

Crispy blue...

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Mine has been a bit hectic (work, school..) but beautiful all the same. "Life is beautiful guys; no matter what would come our way!" If you have faith in God, you will know that he has given us strength to overcome all circumstances and you have to believe that all things work out for your own good all the time. That being said, I'll like to share with you one of my outfits that was inspired by June flowers..

   I titled this post "Crispy blue" because of the blue overtones in the jacket and skirt..quite obvious?   **grin.**

Flowers and Flare..

Hi beautiful readers and bloggers, It's another beautiful and glorious day. The weather is very "hoooooot" (hot) in the twin cities; It's almost ninety degrees today. Although I have this love for blazers but I think it's time to put them all away. This weather is way too steamy for this kind of outfit but I will pull one out once in a while when I feel like it!...:)

I have been wearing this red and black skirt suit too often lately but not to work though. I feel it is too dressy to wear to work and the fact that it is made out of stretch fabric does not really help..:) Occasionally, the skirt rides up on my thighs and I have to tug it down...:) However, I love the flares on the skirt a lot and that is why I titled this post "Flowers and Flare." The flowers on my porch in the background and the flares on my skirt..ha! ha!!..:) There are also cute little rosettes on the red camisole and I think the outfit suits the title of the post or the title of the post suits the outfit? **grin** Since I can't wear this outfit to work, it is just reserved as a "dinner/date" jacket that I whip out once in a while for a dinner date with my hubby or for a fun outing. I bought the outfit a long time ago and recently replaced the red camisole because the old one was worn out. However, I do not remember the store I purchased the three piece skirt suit from so, I would say it is a random purchase.

Purple Floral dress

Hi readers and fellow bloggers. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I had a wonderful day today and I will like to share with you one of my amazing experience this weekend. I am not an avid TV watcher because of all the negative shows and news that is out there and because of my extreme busy schedule.. However, I do watch some of those makeover shows now and then when they come up . So, this morning, the TV was on Style Network Channel and there was a show called "Guiliana and Bill" that came on. I was getting ready for church service and was busy putting my outfit together when I heard the couple (Guiliana and Bill) on TV talking about going to church to pray.  I looked up and actually saw the couple hand in hand walking into a big church and I felt that was pretty awesome.

In this day and time when a lot of people are embarrassed to talk about their faith in public, I thought the action of the couple was pretty remarkable. Also, I know Guiliana is a TV host on the E! Channel too and she has a lot of fans. So sending that kind of message to her viewers and her fans on a Sunday morning was a huge blessing. Lesson learned; "Stand up for your faith." That being said, I'll share with you the outfit I wore to church today...:)

June Flowers

It is June the first and I believe Summer is already here...I just love summer! It is the time the kids get the much needed break from school, the period for weddings and various fun events, family gatherings, barbeques and dinners and it's also the ideal time for all DIYs and all those home improvements that have been on the to-do list forever...lol

Another reason I love Summer is because of the natural beauty you see all around; the blooming of flowers and all those beautiful landscaping and yardwork. I just love flowers! I believe they are some of God's numerous gifts to mankind that deserve more attention than they actually get from humans...:)

Anyway, I finally made a trip to Linders here a couple of weeks back when I got tired of looking at the dried flower pots on the porch. I spent about $150 and came home with three flower pots and about fifteen tomatoes young plants which I transplanted into my vegetable garden at the backyard. I will share with you photos of how my front porch looks now and how it looked a couple of months back.

 This is how my front porch looks like now and these flowers are actually my inspiration for this month of June. I am going to put together some outfits based on my inspiration from flowers.

 This is how my porch looked like last summer. I really did not do anything different with the flowers this time aside from making them more colorful and bigger. Holding my little angel in my arms as we enjoyed the sun. It was the fourth of July last year and I tried to put some colors of the holiday into my outfit; blue and red. My deep red top is from Macys, denim pant from Fashion Bug and silver color sandals from Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW)

A dash of color..

Hi readers,  I hope everyone is having fun this week. If you have been following my color story which was the motivation for starting up this blog, (see here) you will know that I have been trying to make tremendous changes to my wardrobe. One of the ways I tried to do this besides buying new colorful clothes was by use of accessories. This is an outfit that was changed from "boring" to "bold" just by the use of colorful accessories hence the name "A dash of color."
