Do not be deceived...

Yeah, do not be deceived because a lot of times looks can be deceiving. Some things might look pretty on the outside while the insides are gross, some people look all cute and great on the outside but on the inside they are not that great and their personality is zero. sometimes you might look in your closet and think you've got nothing to wear until you make a mess and reach into nooks and crannies that you have not looked into before and then you find all the lost treasures...

Okay, enough of the soliloquy. Some of the items in these outfits; my jacket and shoes are discovered treasures. I have had them a long time and the mustard jacket is actually my first ever thrifted jacket. I was reorganizing my closet a few weeks ago and suddenly stumbled upon them and remembered that I had not worn them in a while. So the weather forecast was in the forties today and I was like; "yeah, I can pair my mustard jacket with my black ankle pants in order to high light this my mustard suede heels."

The outfit turned out well and everything but it was freeeezzzing! The temperature is in the upper thirties but definitely still too cold for ankle pants. It was very windy too and the wind certainly brought down the chill. So, you see...looks can certainly be deceiving...:) Now I know it's still too early to wear some certain items and I'm just going to keep on enjoying my winter gear until it's really time to beak out the summer items.

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and I hope you took time out to [spend] time with God and family. It's good to be all glammed up and stuff but we also have to work on our insides; the inner man. Let's make the world a better place and let's continually give God the praise.

Thanks so much for reading. I enjoy reading your thoughts and comments and it's great finding other amazing bloggers. So, leave me a trail by leaving a comment and I'll pay you a visit. **Kisses!**

Where is the emerald? I only see beautiful sunset.

I hope everyone had a beautiful week and now that the weekend is already here, it's hurray!!! I want to say a big thank you to all who stopped by to say hi on my blog anniversary. I'm so excited that I finally got around to writing again and this blog is the medium on which I have been pouring out my thoughts. Although the pictures have not been great, I hope they get better...:) I'm still using my old canon camera and I'm actually taking my time purchasing a better one because I know the better the camera, the more complex the functions and I'm not so computer savvy. Plus I'm super busy at this time and do not have much time to spare to read manuals...

So, I lifted my shopping ban  not too long ago and have gone on this endless amazing shopping sprees. This emerald top and skinny jeans are recent purchases from one of those neighbor hood boutiques I visited recently. Come to think of it, a couple of new businesses just moved into the neighborhood.

Now back to my outfit. This lovely emerald top with sequins at the bust stole my heart away and I just could not resist it. I wore this outfit to the clinic for my baby's two years doctor's visit and since I took all three kids, we ended the day at Chuck E. Cheeses. The kids had so much fun and while I watched them running around playing games, I stuffed my face with chicken wings and fries. I probably gained a few pounds by the time I left the place and now I'm so scared of the approaching summer. There are always frequent trips to such places in the summer time.

Pantone declared that the color of the season is emerald but has anyone really been seeing much of this color in the stores at all? It seems not to be prominent. This is the thought that was going through my mind as I enjoyed the beautiful sunset while taking my pictures.

The weather seems to be going the way majority want it to go these days but not forgetting the snow storm we had a couple of days ago. The temperature is steadily climbing and this means the layers of clothing are going to start coming off and color is going to start sipping into most closets. I really love this simple sweater and denim skirt combination and it gets me really excited for Spring.

So, I just joined polyvore not too long ago and if you have been following my creations, you will have known by now that I'm always styling date outfits...:) Well, there are so many date outfits that have been created but have not been brought to life yet. This sweater dress and trench coat is the one I'm currently thinking about now for a cool Spring evening. If it is too cold for the pumps I'll slip into my knee high boots. I totally love sweater dresses for Spring!

Blog- Anniversary

Hi Everyone, it's finally been a year since I created my blog and it has been an amazing journey. The purpose of setting up this blog has been met to a large extent and I'm excited to say that I have a very colorful closet now. I have also picked up styling tips here and there from other bloggers and the interaction has been so much fun.

I am still thinking about what I'll like to do for a giveaway and I'll make that known as soon as I get wind of it. Below are some pictures that I have posted on this blog so far and I know there is a lot more creative energy ready to burst forth!...:)

Enjoy the pictures below and like I always say; I am not a stylist or a professional blogger. I just blog for fun. So, bear with me...:)

Cobalt in the Snow...

Hi, all, it's my blog anniversary today and I just want to say that I'm really excited. However, I have not been able to take new pictures because the weather has been gloomy most of the time and I'm somewhat bored of pictures with snowy backgrounds. These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago on my way to church. It was snowing hard and windy at the same and it's the reason why the pictures look very cloudy plus my camera is not too good.

The only color that shines through in the background is my cobalt blue skirt which I purchased from a neighborhood boutique at a ridiculously low price. Since the color of the skirt already pops, I decided to make the other items black and put on a black turtle neck top and a black jacket. The weather was freeezzzing; don't be deceived by the smile. My hands were almost numb by the time I got back in the car. I'm glad I got the pics and though they are not perfect, I thought I'll share them all the same.

Did I mention that 98% of the pictures on my blog are taken by me using the self timer on my camera and a tripod stand? Sometimes I use my car as a tripod too....:) All in the name of leaving my footprints in history and in the cyberworld...lol. My future grand kids would have some fun with this blog; I can tell. And I do not know why I have been musing a lot about the future lately. I guess my blog turning one reminds me that I'm getting old too.
